The Patina PPB-3 CRC is a classic P-style bass with a lightweight paulownia body finished in Charcoal nitrocellulose lacquer. Its quarter-sawn roasted maple neck has a satin finish and Modern C profile, paired with a rosewood fingerboard, 12" radius and 20 jumbo stainless steel frets with rounded edges. A bone nut, double-action truss rod and luminescent side dots add to the practical, player-focused specification, while the 34" scale keeps the response familiar and punchy.
For tone, the PPB-3 CRC features a custom handwound Alnico V split-coil pickup, delivering the deep lows, focused mids and articulate attack expected from a Precision-style bass. The simple 1-volume, 1-master tone setup keeps the signal direct, with Alpha pots and Japanese electronics adding to the quality of the control section. A high-mass four-saddle bridge and lightweight chrome tuners provide solid intonation and tuning stability, making the PPB-3 CRC a lightweight, straightforward P-style bass with some genuinely premium touches.
