Morley Analog Multi FX

The Morley Analog Multi FX (AFX-1) brings four classic effects together in a fully analogue unit, combining a switchless optical wah, dual-mode distortion, stereo chorus and echo in one rugged enclosure. Its circuits draw inspiration from Morley designs spanning several decades, including a modern optical wah, the brand's 1990s distortion circuitry, an 1980s-inspired chorus and a vintage-style bucket-brigade echo. The wah activates simply by stepping onto the treadle and disengages when you step off, eliminating the need for a separate on/off switch. The Diamond Distortion section offers adjustable pre- and post-gain alongside three-band EQ and a dedicated high-gain mode, covering everything from classic overdrive to aggressive, saturated distortion. Meanwhile, the Crystal Chorus delivers everything from subtle modulation to pronounced vibrato, while the Emerald Echo ranges from tight slapback repeats to spacious, ambient delays.

Each effect has dedicated controls for direct, hands-on adjustment without menus or digital programming. The chorus features Rate and Depth controls, while the echo provides Delay Time, Repeats and Mix adjustments, with stereo operation creating a wide, spacious sound. An integrated effects loop sits between the distortion and modulation sections, allowing external pedals to be inserted into the signal chain at a useful point. A premium always-on buffer helps preserve signal clarity across long cable runs and complex pedalboards, while the optical wah design avoids the mechanical potentiometer wear associated with traditional treadle mechanisms. The AFX-1 is housed in a heavy-duty steel chassis with a distinctive hand-spun stainless-steel finish, measures approximately 30.5 × 17.4 × 7 cm and runs on the included 9V DC power supply. For players seeking an extensive range of classic analogue effects in one stage-ready unit, the Morley Analog Multi FX offers a comprehensive, all-in-one solution.
