Mad Professor Golden Cello

The Mad Professor Golden Cello combines a rich, sustaining overdrive with an integrated tape-style delay, delivering expressive lead tones in a single compact pedal. Designed to produce the singing, harmonically rich sound of an overdriven amplifier paired with vintage echo, it excels at smooth melodic leads, soaring solos and atmospheric passages with long, musical sustain. The overdrive and delay can be used independently or together, allowing you to choose between saturated drive, ambient repeats or the pedal's signature combination of both effects. Whether you're aiming for warm, vintage-inspired lead tones or spacious, cascading textures, the Golden Cello provides a cohesive sound without requiring separate drive and delay pedals.

Four dedicated controls make it straightforward to shape your tone. Distortion adjusts the gain and sustain from lighter overdrive to saturated lead sounds, Tone controls the brightness, Delay sets the level of the built-in echo, and Volume adjusts the overall output. Internal trim pots provide additional adjustment of the delay time, repeats and signal level feeding the delay circuit. The pedal features true-bypass switching and runs on a 9V battery or a compatible 9 to 12V DC power supply, with a current draw of approximately 43 mA at 9V. Housed in a compact gold-finished enclosure, the Golden Cello is an effective all-in-one solution for guitarists seeking singing overdrive and vintage-inspired ambience without taking up additional pedalboard space.
