This Eastman Kauffmann Offset Deluxe is a custom-built guitar featuring a striking Graffiti Yellow over Black finish with a heavy relic treatment. It is part of the collaboration between Eastman Guitars and Dutch luthier and finish specialist Albert Kauffmann.
Each Kauffmann model is hand built in Holland using traditional guitar-building methods, with a strong focus on sound, feel, and long-term playability. This guitar features the special color over color option. It was first finished in black, then painted in yellow, and finally reliced by hand. As the finish is worn back, the black undercoat becomes visible, giving the guitar a deep, layered and authentic vintage look.
The heavy relic work gives this Offset Deluxe the feel of a guitar that has seen years of use. The thin, worn finish and smooth neck make it comfortable and familiar straight away, while still offering the stability and reliability of a modern instrument.
