The BOSS SDE-3000EVH puts a pair of classic SDE-3000 style delays into one pedal, based on the famous rack units used in Eddie Van Halen’s live setup. It gives you two independent delay engines you can run in different ways, so you can get anything from straightforward slapback or echo to more layered, stereo delay sounds.
There are a set of EVH-curated presets that let you quickly jump into tones inspired by that iconic wet-dry-wet rig, but you can also tweak things yourself to suit your playing. The layout and connections are designed to fit into modern pedalboard setups while still delivering a warm digital delay character with plenty of flexibility.
It’s a good choice if you want a delay pedal with a little more depth and routing options than a typical single delay unit, especially if you like experimenting with stereo setups and classic 80s-style delay sounds.
